Chloe Evans (then Bristow) was always running early for something, starting the day she was born. Although all of her mothers physicians said she'd be a late November baby, Chloe ran on her own time- making her appearance shortly after midnight on 5 October, 1976. She made quite the appearance, which is something that hasn't quite changed in thirty-two As the youngest child of Lauren and Paul Bristow, Chloe knew from the start that she was built for something more, mostly because of one older brother named John.
John Bristow. The other half of Chloe's heart, her best friend, and her daughter's godfather. Even when time zones and oceans kept them apart... Chloe knew that John was always a phone call away. He was there through her triumphs (few and far between) and her heartbreaks (more than she'd want to admit to). John was there for her when she was the ugly American girl when they moved from Portland to the UK. He was there when she graduate from Univeristy. He was there when she found out she was pregnant. He was there Sebastian broke her heart (both times). And she has no idea where she'd be without him.
Oh Sebastian. Sebastian Evans- had you asked Chloe to tell you about him a few years ago she would've told you he was the love of her life. He was her husband, her better half. Now, he was just her ex husband... the only good he ever did her was give her Adair. Sebastian was a charming fellow, dreadfully painfully so. They met while Chloe was at university- and she was head over heels immediately. When they found out she was pregnant, Seb and Chloe got married (always doing things in the wrong order that Chloe girl). Their daughter, Adair Bristow Evans was born on June 14, 2002. Sebastian left June 15th with claims of this not being what he signed up for. When he returned three months later... Chloe took him back. Things seemed to be okay for a few years until Chloe returned home from work one evening to find Seb carrying on with the nanny on the couch. That was the end of him. And the end of them.
It's not as if her choices in men got any better as she got older. She was always one to do things in the "wrong" order (pregnancy before marriage, sex before love, emotional investment before backgrounds were revealed). She's dated a string of men... there was Jack (who had a wife), Sam (who lied about being employed), Darrin (who lied about his boyfriend), Randall (who lied about his criminal record)... the list went on. And she never could explain it. So it made sense to her to pack up herself and Adair and set their sights toward Chicago. At least her and John would be in the same time zone.
It was while she was in Chicago that she met Daniel Evans. It wasn't supposed to happen. First of all- she wasn't looking to meet anyone. Second of all- he was an Evans... she'd already been down that trail. But there was something about him. Something she never could shake. Their relationship escalated quickly- much to John's dismay. Daniel and Chloe were married August 14, 2010, in a small ceremony in John's backyard. John gave her away (her father did that already... wasn't worth the second try), Adair was her maid of honor.
And Chloe can say she's honestly never been happier.
